This flat belongs to an amazing couple with very good taste in art and design. The project was created for a designer, being very easy to work together as not only we were speaking the same “design language” but they also added very dashing and practical ideas that we managed to bring into life. Our performance in this bedroom was to transform an untidy space to a more practical area transmitting feelings of tidiness, clean and calm. We had an open closet and too much furniture in the same space. Our main interaction here was to close the wardrobe and make an upper organisation space that matches with the rest of the doors and closets of the house. We added built-in lamps with warm luminosity that illuminates the wardrobe and the shelves inside and can also be left opened to create a soft ambient light.

Este piso pertenece a una pareja increíble con un muy buen gusto por el arte y el diseño. El proyecto fue creado para un diseñador, siendo muy fácil trabajar juntos ya que no sólo hablábamos el mismo "lenguaje de diseño" sino que además añadió ideas muy elegantes y prácticas que conseguimos hacer realidad. Nuestra actuación en este dormitorio fue transformar un espacio desordenado a una zona más práctica transmitiendo orden, limpieza y sensación de calma.  Teníamos un armario abierto y demasiados muebles en el mismo espacio. Nuestra principal interacción aquí fue cerrar el armario y hacer un espacio de organización superior que combinara con el resto de puertas y armarios de la casa. Añadimos unas lámparas empotradas de cálida luminosidad que iluminan el armario y las estanterías de su interior y que también se pueden dejar abiertas para crear una suave luz ambiental.

Here we can see the wardrobe when it is closed. The idea was to design something that seems to have organically belonged here.

OPEN WARDROBE

When open we can see the existing shelves and how the space was without the closed wardrobe.

This space had the main priority to be an office but also a guest bedroom during one month each summer. So in this case we designed a built-in bed, that when closed not only it is hidden but it is not recognizable.  The office table and the small shelves were also created in the same bespoke oak wood as the designed wood bed. The library is in lacquered white wood to create some contrast. We also customised a Nanimarquina rug with an XXL size. Here we can see the same room but with the bed open. This space was also an office at home that we reorganised and designed so the client could feel better while working. The decor was eclectic and artistic which reflects the client’s personality. The main interaction here was to close the space adding a door that isolates the sound and makes the space more cosy and easy to work. This door was made by our father’s carpenter using antique woodwork techniques.

Este espacio tenía como la prioridad principal ser una oficina pero también un dormitorio de huéspedes durante un mes cada verano. Así que en este caso hemos diseñado una cama empotrada, que cuando se cierra no sólo queda oculta sino que no es reconocible.  La mesa del despacho y las pequeñas estanterías también se crearon en la misma madera de roble a medida que la cama de madera diseñada. La biblioteca es de madera blanca lacada para crear cierto contraste. También hemos personalizado una alfombra Nanimarquina de tamaño XXL. Aquí podemos ver la misma habitación pero con la cama abierta. Este espacio era también una oficina en casa que reorganizamos y diseñamos para que el cliente se sintiera mejor mientras trabajaba. La decoración era ecléctica y artística, lo que refleja la personalidad del cliente. La principal interacción aquí fue cerrar el espacio añadiendo una puerta que aísle el sonido y haga el espacio más acogedor y fácil de trabajar. Esta puerta fue realizada por el padre del carpintero usando técnicas de carpintería antigua.
